Viszeral Surgery

My line of surgery is called “visceral surgery”. Starting off with training in general surgery I spent many years specializing in visceral surgery. The list below shows the main areas of interest. Important operations will be discussed in detail in the following chapters.

  • Operations of the colon and rectum (large bowel)

  • Operations of the stomach

  • Operations of the small bowel

  • Operations of the gall bladder and the bile ducts

  • Operations of the abdominal wall (inguinal and other hernias)

  • Operations of the thyroid Operations of anal conditions (proctology)

This includes all operations for benign (e.g. gallstones, appendicitis, diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis) and malignant ( e.g. colon or gastric cancer) diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.  Here we can also offer our patients state of the art multi modality treatment options.
